M&RP at the 78th World Health Assembly
The Power of Prevention—Immunizing for a Safer, Healthier World
M&RP is hosting an official side event focused on accelerating measles and rubella elimination through strategic systems strengthening. Measles vaccines save more lives than any other vaccine, yet measles cases are on the rise, threatening the loss of decades of progress.

This strategic gathering of Ministers of Health, Heads of Agencies, and senior officials will provide a forum for open dialogue on strategy, policy and technical issues related to measles elimination and control. Attendees will also hear from Ministers of Health on their measles control efforts and the multiple benefits of rubella vaccine introduction, including immunization system strengthening. Key health leaders will discuss how to realize the vision of preventing measles outbreaks and ensuring all children are protected against measles and rubella.
