Research and Innovation Prioritization Process
The Research and Innovation Workgroup is working to identify research and innovation priorities to achieve measles and rubella elimination. The process is designed to gather insights from a broad array of individuals, but recognizes that the most important research questions and innovations are usually identified at the operational level.
The process:
The prioritization process will focus on research and innovations in four key areas:
Enhancing epidemiological knowledge of measles and rubella
Improving surveillance systems and technological innovations (including laboratory testing)
Strengthening immunization strategies (immunization service delivery, campaigns and outbreak response)
Advancing demand creation and advocacy activities
