Not only was measles incidence down from 2014, but the number of measles-related deaths decreased an estimated 79% from 2000, accounting for 17.1 million lives saved. This is staggering proof that highlights the immense work that countries and our many dedicated partners have put forth to maintain high levels of control despite a number of large outbreaks.
